Can You Double Your Life?

Here’s a hypothetical for you:

Let's say you're currently 35 and you die at 50 from a heart attack. That means you have approximately 5,479 days left to live. Assuming you work 45 weeks in year, that means you’ll spend approximately 3375 days, or 62% of your remaining days, at work.

Now, that leaves roughly 38% of your time left on Earth that you can spend with your loved ones.

Let’s assume in this scenario that you’re not exercising or eating right, hence, the heart attack at 50.

What if it could be different?

Let’s say at 35 you do start to exercise and eat better. Let’s say that by doing this you don’t die at 50, but are able to live an extra 15 years just from exercising and eating better.

That’s an extra 5,479 days. You just doubled your life.

Did you know that a 2018 study showed that not exercising is worse than smoking? You already know that smoking causes a myriad of health issues. Now science has shown us that skipping exercise is worse than puffing on cancer sticks. The good news is that numerous studies have shown the powerful effects of lifting weights, including extending your life.

Sure, getting abs or eliminating love handles is absolutely okay. If you want to get huge, that's cool too, but what if you want to make sure you’re around long enough to see your kids graduate high school or college or to play with future grandkids?

The power is in your hands.

Live long and prosper.
